If you don’t visit your site often, you might not notice that your site is going slow and that you need to reduce site slowness.
Try using a test like the Google Page Speed test will allow you to see how your site is really doing. While it may appear fast on your end, that could be because of your browser cache.
You want to make sure you are getting a true reading on your site. You also want to make sure people from all over the world get a great experience and not only from one part of the world. 1. Remove Plugins You Don’t Need
While plugins can do a lot of cool things, they may slow down your site. If they are keeping you from doing what is necessary, you need to find out which ones you can uninstall.
While it is recommended that you keep the number of plugins that you use to five or less, I don’t do it on my own site because — I need those!
2. Limit Social Media Sharing Buttons
Only have main social media sharing buttons on your posts and pages. The more code you have a site, the more it is going to lag your page and cause slowdowns.
Having social sharing buttons is good for getting the word out there, but overdoing it won’t help. Most people aren’t sharing to obscure social media sites anyway.
3. Enable Caching
Caching is where you are going to need a plugin if using WordPress. Find a cache plugin to install on your WordPress site, so you are able to store files of your site locally for people to have faster access.
Any time you update your website, you want to make sure to clear the cache. If you don’t clear your cache, people will see the old version of the website.
4. Optimize Images
Large or unoptimized images can cause major problems for your site’s speed. Slow page speeds due to images are an easy fix. You can optimize the photos before you put them on your site or if you think a plugin is worth the space, which I do, you can put a plugin up and wha-la!
Optimized images give the visitor a better experience and keep your site speed at its best.
5. Use a CDN
Content delivery networks aka CDNs deliver your content from different parts of the world, so your visitors get a fast experience no matter where in the world they are.
Serving your site from a CDN can mean big speed improvements. If you are a beginner, this can be somewhat confusing so you might want to hire a WordPress tech to set it up for you.

For instance, with my blog here, I know I am talking to families that want more freedom and time to be together, travel their country and maybe even the world at some point. That is why everything that I write about helps people achieve that goal.

3. Less Than Clickable Subject Line
If your subject line is a snooze, you have to amp it up. If you can’t get people to open your emails, you don’t have a chance.
If you know who your target market is, it makes it much easier for you to get their attention because you know what they want to see and read. Don’t be afraid to be unique.
You don’t want to sound like every other email going through their inbox.
4. Poor Design in Your Emails
When people do get into your emails, how do they look? Design is important. If people are opening your emails to see plain, lazy and boring email, it is likely that they will unsubscribe or at least stop opening your emails.
You might even end up in the “read later” folder that no one goes back to.
5. They Don’t Recognize the Sender
If you are sending emails, make sure people are able to recognize the sender. If they signed up for Suzy’s Email Tips and you are sending it from Susan Smith, they aren’t going to know who you are. Since they don’t know who you are, they aren’t going to open your emails.

Instead of letting your competition blind you with jealousy or anger, you can learn how to advance by examining their actions. In this article, we are going to talk about the five most important things to learn from your competition.
Price Strategy
When you set your prices, you should always look to see where your competition has set their prices. You may have to do some mystery shopping or have a friend do mystery shopping to find out what their rates are if they keep them private. Depending on the product or service, they may be listed online where you can easily see them.
Once you learn how your competition is operating with their price strategy, you will be able to see how you want to position yourself. You may want to put yourself in a similar price range, lower than their rates or you may want to charge premium prices that are higher than your competition.
Culture
If you see your competition has a thriving company, look into their culture. The company culture has a lot to do with how well a company does.
If you aren’t sure how to create the same type of culture, you can see the messaging they use in their job descriptions and even interview previous employees to find what you can about how they create the culture in their company.
Company Structure
The structure of a company is important. Whether you are starting your company or you have been operating for a while, you can look at your competition’s company structure and see if there are things that are lacking in your company so that you can improve upon their model in your own company.
Financials
There are various ways that you can gain access to company financials. Depending on the kind of company it is, the financials may be public which makes it easy for you to look through. When you can see what they are doing with their money, that makes it much easier for you to decide what to do with yours.
Possible Weaknesses
As you are reviewing your competition and trying to learn from your competition, look for any weaknesses they have. Often this is a point where you can grow your company to be strong and shine even brighter since they are less than brilliant in that area.

I was in my twenties before I found out about this book. I wish I would have found it when I was a kid because of its ability to help you achieve things that seem to be impossible. When I first read the book, all of the foreign concepts didn’t make much sense to me.
“Think” and grow rich. What is that even supposed to mean. I want to take my business to the next level. How is thinking supposed to help me do that? Whatever. That’s stupid.
I was desperate, however, so I kept reading.
After getting into the book and deep diving, I finally understood what it meant. Our thoughts steer our decisions, and our decisions shape our reality. Every choice that we make means we’ve gone one way vs. another and that changes our lives.

The 5 Second Rule
Another amazing book that gives you the tools to take it to the next level is the 5 Second Rule. When I read the 5 Second Rule, I actually listened to it through audio. I love the way Mel Robbins explains things and tells her stories.
The five-second rule is a powerful technique that allows you to get your brain in gear with what you know you need to do – RIGHT NOW!
There are many applications to the rule and Mel talks about them in the book. I would suggest getting the audiobook if you are going to get this one.

The Obstacle Is the Way
This book gave me a whole new outlook on obstacles. Instead of being frustrated when I see obstacles now, I get excited. If I see the obstacle, I know what I need to overcome to get what I want.
If we don’t see the obstacle, how do we know where we are supposed to go to get what we want? We’re lost in the dark! Who knows what is going on?
I also listened to this one and loved the stories Ryan told. There is something about hearing it straight from the person that experienced it instead of imagining it in your voice.
I’ve been through this book multiple times as well as getting the thoughts into my head and adopting them.

Tools of Titans
Tools of Titans is a beast of a book by Tim Ferris. It’s not laid out where you have to read the whole thing. It’s more things Tim has learned that has thought would be helpful to others.
It is a compilation of techniques, stories, and principles he has learned from hundreds of other people that are giants in their fields.
I’ve barely made a crack in the book, but have been able to pull out some amazing things to apply to my everyday life. One of the things it brought me back to was morning pages.
I had been doing morning pages, but I then stepped away for whatever reason, but after his explanation of the benefits, I am back at it and consistent. It’s changed my life and allowed me to operate as a better human.

Abundance Now
Lisa’s stories and insight are so inspiring that I had felt my heart come up in my throat plenty when I was reading it. This book helped me see that no matter where I came from, what I had or didn’t have, etc., that I was going to be ok. That I could win at life.

We all know about Google & its insane algorithm of uncrackableness. (New word)! However, more algorithms are popping up, and things are getting more complicated for marketers.
Now platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram only show you a fraction of what you used to be able to see.
Remember when you’d get on Facebook and you’d see all of the things your friends were posting right away? Even business pages you were following were showing up in your feed without being an ad.
Now, you only see a few of your friend’s updates. What does that mean for you? Fewer people see what you’re posting.
How to Benefit:
The best way to benefit from the increase of algorithms is to create content that people want to share. Creating content people want to share will allow you to get in front of more people that may not see your social media posts from your page.
The algorithm helps people see more of what they want to see. When your content is high-quality, you aren’t going to have to worry about algorithms as much.
Good content will find its way to people. Ensure your content is valuable when you share or otherwise you might be a victim of the filtered feed.
2. We Spend Our Time on Apps vs. Visiting Websites
Most of our time isn’t spent typing web addresses. Roughly 90% of our time on our mobile, we spend on apps. We love our social media apps, gaming apps, time management, meditation, and anything else you can think of – APPS!

If your business doesn’t have an app – it is time to get an app. Make it easy for people to access your information or you can have an eCommerce app and sell your products to mobile users.

You’ve probably already seen AI at work on websites like Amazon or another favorite shopping site. It almost seems like they are listening in on your conversations when they recommend “cute comfortable flip-flops” to you. Or maybe, that is just me.

All kinds of video are on the rise from instructional, promotional, programs and live streaming videos; it is all in high demand. People are consuming immense amounts of video each day on social media platforms. These people are also streaming videos through Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

If you or your company has anything you can create videos about (you do), you can get the attention you otherwise wouldn’t have been able to get.

Influencer marketing has been around for a long time, but mainly through sports figures on television. Now we have Instagram models and stars of Twitter to get out the word about our business and services.

Instead of spending millions of dollars signing an endorsement deal with a sports figure, you can find micro-influencers. Micro-influencers charge as little as $100, $500 or $1,000 to promote your product and share it with their audience.

Setting personal business goals shouldn’t be left for once a year. As you achieve a goal, you need to replace it with a new one.
If your business isn’t growing, it is dying. There is no stagnation. Continue reading, and we will talk about 7 top tips for impactful goal setting.
1. Setting Personal Business Goals
Before you start setting personal business goals, you need to know what you really want. While you probably have a goal in mind like buying a new car or a new house, but what are you willing to trade for it?
Are you willing to trade Friday night dinner with your family so you can add an extra room onto the house? Are you willing to make date night 2 hours instead of 4 so you can fit in extra schooling?
One of the exercises you can do to see what you really want is to get out a piece of paper and start writing down your things you would like to have or do as quickly as possible. This will give you an idea of where your head is. You want to try to get to 100 on your paper.
2. Start Writing Immediately
You need to write down your goals. There is no way around it. It’s fine to put it in your phone, but you need to keep your aim on the goal.
Keep yourself focused so that you keep working toward the goal.
Write it down at least once a day, so your mind knows that is still where you need to focus your energy.
Be determined when you write it. If you write with doubt and unbelief, that is going to transfer over to your mind, and you don’t want that.
3. Setting a Deadline for Your Goals
Set a deadline of when you will have your goal in your hand, but don’t beat yourself up if you are a little behind. Sometimes when you set personal business goals, you are a little ambitious for what you can really do. If you didn’t set them at all, that is when you wouldn’t get anywhere.
4. Break It Down to Increase Productivity
Whatever your goal is, you need to break it down. Break it down in a way that is going to help you gain the momentum you need to finish the project.
If you don’t feel like you are getting anywhere, you are likely to get tired and quit. You don’t want this to happen so break it down and give yourself small wins.
5. Focus on Fewer Goals
Sometimes we are like chickens with our heads cut off. We are running around confused and unaware of what we are doing.
A lot of times that is because we are trying to get so many different things at once. We are tiring ourselves out and keeping ourselves from getting to our goals because of lack of focus.
If you focus on fewer goals, you’ll be more likely to hit them faster.
6. Know Why You Want Your Goals
If you have a goal to get a fancy car, that’s one thing. If you have a goal to get a fancy car so that you can rub your ex’s face in it when you drive by, that is a whole other level of motivation.
You’ve got to make yourself want your goal so badly that nothing is going to stop you from achieving it.
7. “Be Careful What You Wish For”
In number one, you set your goals, but this is a reminder to double check what you truly want as well as checking your motivations.
If you wish for a big house to show your parents what a good provider you are and they both pass away, your motivation may be gone. You’ll be left with a big mortgage and lack of motivation.
Setting personal business goals should be more about you and less about others. This will allow you to stay focused no matter what is going on outside of you.

Before you make your site, make sure there is an affiliate program for the niche. Since Amazon is almost in every niche, you should be good.
#3 – Drive Traffic to Your Blog
You need to have a blog. You can read: How to Start a Blog And you need to get traffic to it. The way that you do it is up to you, but my choice is through SEO.
There are literally billions of keyword terms out there and few people (if any) that are optimizing for them. Why shouldn’t it be you? This is free and PASSIVE traffic.
If you’ve created your website in a compelling manner, you can sit back and rake in the cash when SEO meets affiliate marketing meets a great site that converts.
#4 – Collect Checks
Make sure you have a bank that can hold all of the money or plenty of plans of how you are going to spend the money.

Let’s just say that I have joined A LOT of different online learning platforms since 2010. While I did find Wealthy Affiliate early on, I thought the money for the monthly admission was way too much. I guess that was because of the way that I was looking at it.
